Sound therapy helps to restore harmony and balance to the body’s biological rhythms and processes, re-establishing correct functioning of the endocrine system (the glands) which releases powerful healing hormones such as endorphins, serotonin and melatonin into the body. Other natural chemicals are also released, such as nitric oxide, vital for the body’s health and vitality.
It is now widely accepted that most illnesses are stress related. Therefore treatment methodologies that promote relaxation helps to reduce stress are a very effective way to prevent and treat illnesses.
Sound therapy classes: Choose between early morning, lunchtime or evening classes for your team.
All you need is a yoga mat or be in a comfortable position to relax and lay down.
In each class Alicia creates a relaxing sound therapy by incorporating senses (sound, scent) to her sessions such as Palo Santo and Sage to set the intentional calming space. She also utilises her soothing voice to sing and to guide a meditation to enhance the sound bath experience.
It is called a sound bath because It feels like the sounds are washing over your body. As employees lay down on a yoga mat or sit on the floor with their eyes closed. Alicia will play her sacred instruments that will help calm the mind and relax the body.
Sound therapy and bowl massages helps to relieve stress, reduce pain and calm the mind. Integrated with a combination of breath work and guided meditations to offer maximum benefits.
Vibroacoustic Tibetan Bowl Massage: This is an individual session and has all the health and wellbeing benefits as a sound bath. However the Tibetan bowl is placed on the meridian points of the body. Creating a deep, “massage” vibrational sensation onto the body. Deeply relaxing the mind, body and soul. This technique is the most easiest way to reach a meditative state of mind.
Sound Therapy Space: an open plan area or meeting/boardroom will be used for the classes. We also have an option to run your class at a studio near you, if you are not able to accommodate. If you have a corporate gym or studio we can utilise that space.
Reiki Therapy Space: an open plan area or meeting/boardroom will be used for a one to one session. The receiver would lay onto a yoga mat or a massage table in a calm, quiet room.
It is best when there is a designated room where we can close the door making it a private experience in a dark room. Employees drop into a deep relaxed state during the experience, however they would feel rejuvenated and energized upon its completion.
After a completion of a group sound bath it allows the employees opportunity to discuss their experiences and Alicia also offers guidance and tips for self care and stress management.
Ideally sound therapy are held once a week at your corporate space or via online zoom classes. Regular, weekly classes enables employees to develop a healthier, stress reduced lifestyle practice. Helping to release tension and ultimately increase productivity. Classes are of course customised to meet your community and are appropriate for all ages and fitness levels.
